Mount Robson Gargoyles

Standing at 3,954 meters, Mount Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies and is located in Jasper National Park. It is an iconic mountain that has captivated climbers for centuries. The summit of Mount Robson is known as the “Gargoyles”, a series of steep, rocky spires that make the climb to the top extremely difficult. These spires are made up of a combination of limestone and shale and are incredibly sharp and jagged.

The Gargoyles are so named because of their resemblance to the mythical creatures that adorn the sides of old churches. The climb to the summit of Mount Robson is a challenging one, and the Gargoyles make it even more difficult. Climbers must navigate their way through the sharp rocks and find a way to the top. It is a thrilling experience that requires skill and determination.

Mount Robson is also home to Berg Lake, a stunning glacial lake that is fed by the melting snow and ice of the mountain. It is a popular destination for hikers and campers and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Mount Robson and Berg Lake are two of the most iconic sites in Jasper National Park, and they are a must-see for anyone visiting the area. The challenge of the Gargoyles and the beauty of Berg Lake make Mount Robson an unforgettable experience. #mountrobson #jaspernationalpark #berglake #gargoyles
